We ran into a father and son who came for their first golf tournament experience. They were only there for one day, and the dad spent most of the day with his son in lines waiting for these professional golfers to give autographs. The son brought pennants, golf balls, shirts, and hats.
By the time we met them, there were only a couple of hours left to watch the golfers play. The dad showed true dedication in making this a memorable experience for his son.

With real golf clubs as a reference point, we started sketching a few ideas—a golf ball on a tee, even a flag pin for good measure. Even the darker shades of green and yellow give a little nod to the Masters.

Next, it was time to bring our sketches to life on the screen. We designed our illustrations and got to work. It was like playing a round of digital mini-golf, with each element coming together to create the perfect design. We chose a darker green-and-yellow color scheme to give it a slight retro feel while giving a nod to the Masters. We also wanted to make sure there was plenty of space for a personal message.
